It was well known that Hyung-ki Joo, exceptional artist and congenial part of the comedy duo "Igudesmann &Joo", has enough energy to send thousands of spectators into ecstasy in his gigantic shows. But what he brought to the stage in Mersch as part of an ONJ project was a high-water mark of emotions for all involved.

The tonal perfection and the unconditional striving for artistic quality, coupled with the ease, sheer endless patience and friendliness of the two congenial guides of this week - Pit Brosius at the conductor's desk and Hyung-ki Joo on the "615313" - will remain unforgettable for the many young musicians and also for the piano makers who travelled especially for this week.
